WHAT HAPPENED OVER THE LAST YEAR?
You can look at things in life and pull the negative or the positive from it. We were all faced with a world wide pandemic, something that literally made the world stop! We went from crazy rat race to hamster on the wheel. Cooped up in our homes, some homeschooling children, working from home and being around your spouse more than ever. Your animals were confused as well as most of us when it first happened. How long is this going to last? Are we ever going to recover from this? What is the lesson we need to learn from this experience? So, I think for everyone it was different. For me, it taught me that going all the time was killing me....literally. That I was in a situation that was not healthy for me mentally and physically and that I was not giving my all to what was important to me. My life shifted in a huge way! My business grew because people were online shopping and educating themselves on Clean Beauty. I was getting emails and orders from all over the United States. On the upswing of people finding new ways to do home spa treatments I found myself opening a new location and now at the tail end of this pandemic I'm actually expanding into more of my beliefs. I will be opening the Holistic Wellness Center to NoSH as Natural Ocean Salt Healing. This just incorporates even more of what my natural organic ways can heal the body, soul and mind. I have proven to make incredible skincare by using the best luxury ingredients from around the world. Now, I'm working harder on educating you on how great simple time outs can make you feel a whole lot better. In the wellness center we will feature or Himalayan Sea Salt Sauna with light therapy and IOS and O3. A Hydro Massage touch screen Oceans tablet to get the most amazing massage possible while you relax in this wave crashing experience. Sound bowl therapy to align your chakras and Taj Mat therapy with 16 lbs of crush amethyst, tourmaline, jade , PEMF, negative ions and red light therapy to help heal you from head to toe. Included is a wellness shot and personalized salts for the sea salt sauna We will teach you how to make your own bath soaks and scrubs for a small uncharge at our DIY bar. We are excited that so much greatness came from something that really made me think...what would make me happy. Making people feel great and bringing holistic ways into their lives is a great way to heal the soul from such a huge ordeal we all just went through. Call for more information on the wellness center, vegan tanning and our organic and vegan skincare. 949-706-3677 Look forward to connecting with you! Vitamin C serums have become massively popular in recent years, with many celebrities and beauty bloggers touting its beneficial properties. It has even been categorized as one of the best ingredients to ensure a smooth, even, and glowing complexion. Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is one of the few vitamins that aren’t naturally produced by the body, and the only way to get it is through your diet, supplements, or by using products infused with vitamin C. Citrus fruits are a rich source of vitamin C and are often used in various skincare products to provide essential nutrients to keep the skin fresh and healthy. Here are some of the most compelling reasons why you should consider adding vitamin C products to your skincare routine: Safe for Most Skin Types Vitamin c is derived from natural sources and has an excellent safety profile. It can safely be used by most people with different types of skin, including sensitive skin, without the risk of experiencing any adverse effects such as inflammation or redness. Exceptional Hydrating Properties Vitamin C has exceptional hydrating properties. One of the key components of vitamin C is Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, which has a strong hydrating effect on the skin as it decreases transepidermal water loss. This allows the skin to retain moisture and avoid the dehydrating effects of various external elements, such as UV-rays and cold and dry weather. Brighten Dull and Tired-Looking Skin Vitamin C has amazing properties that impede the skin’s melanin production that is responsible for dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and other skin discoloration issues. It has brightening properties that help fade pigmentation, reduce dullness, and encourage youthful, glowing skin. Reduces Redness and Evens Out Skin Tone Vitamin C contains antioxidants that can also help reduce and prevent inflammation that causes red patches to appear on the skin. It also encourages the skin to heal itself and fade any acne scars or dark spots for a more even-toned complexion. It encourages healthy cell regeneration and turnover to repair any damage from sun exposure or from free radicals in the environment. Boosts Collagen Production to Prevent Premature Aging One of the best benefits of vitamin C is that it boosts collagen production in the skin and encourages the dermis to thicken, which helps diminish fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. Increased levels of collagen in the skin help you achieve a plump and youthful skin that is firm yet flexible. Check out our entire range of organic skincare today! Winter is one of the most exciting seasons of the year, with several holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years to look forward to. However, the weather can be tough on the skin and can lead to several skin issues, especially for people with sensitive skin. The lack of humidity indoors and the cold and dry air outside causes the skin to get dehydrated and irritated, resulting in flaking skin and itchiness. Check out some of the most common skin conditions caused by the harsh winter weather and how to prevent them: Acne Statistics show that the rate of people experiencing acne increases significantly during winter. The dry weather can boost the production of oil in the skin to keep it moist and supple, which can lead to clogged pores and increase the likelihood of breakouts. By cleansing your face every day and exfoliating the skin every week during winter, you can reduce the risk of acne flareups. Eczema Eczema flareups are quite common during winter months due to the excessively dry air and lack of humidity. Eczema can cause the skin to become itchy, irritated, and inflamed and can worsen when using too much water on the skin. Experts recommend that you limit bathing or showering to once a day during winter and moisturize the skin regularly to avoid dry and irritated skin. Windburn The strong and harsh winter winds can result in dry, burning, and red skin where it is exposed. The condition is also known as windburn and can exacerbate the more time you spend outdoors during winter. As the redness fades, the skin might start to peel and can be quite unpleasant. The best way to prevent windburn is to keep as much of your face covered as possible and apply an emollient cream to keep it moisturized. Dry and Chapped Lips One of the most common complaints of people during winter is dry and chapped lips. The skin on the lips is different from the rest of the face. It is thinner and more susceptible to dehydration. Some people tend to link their lips constantly to keep them wet, which can exacerbate the condition as the lips become drier once the saliva evaporates. You should use an extra hydrating lip balm such as the Organic Pepper-Pout from Nosh Body to keep your lips moisturized and prevent them from cracking and peeling in winter. Psoriasis Psoriasis is a skin condition that is activated when the skin starts producing too many cells as a defense mechanism during cold and dry weather. The condition usually affects people with sensitive skin and can result in dry, scaly, and flaky patches on the skin. Using hydrating balms and creams that are rich in vitamins A, E, and D and natural fatty acids can help soothe the skin and reduce the risk of psoriasis. New mothers have so much to deal with. From the exhaustion that comes with sleepless nights to the stress of making sure they’re doing everything right, it’s a lot to take on. Many new mothers undermine the importance of looking after their baby’s skin. Babies are prone to all kinds of skin problems, including eczema, heat rashes, dry skin, and other conditions that can cause great discomfort. Check out our skincare guide for new mothers to rectify this: Baby Bath TimeBabies must be bathed at least 2-3 baths a week to ensure they’re clean. Whenever you bathe your baby, make sure the water is warm, but never hot. Fill your baby’s bathtub with just 2-3 inches of water. Pour cupfuls of warm water over your baby’s shoulders to stop them from getting cold. Wash your baby’s head using a washcloth to prevent the shampoo from getting into their eyes. Dampen a cotton ball and dab their face to clean it. Lift your baby out of the bath by supporting their head, and wrapping it in a towel (preferably hooded). Apply baby lotion right away to lock moisture and stop the skin from drying out. Diapering and Avoiding Diaper Rash A single baby goes through 2,200 diapers in their first year. It’s no wonder they’re so prone to developing a diaper rash! After you’re done wiping your baby’s body clean gently but thoroughly, squirt them with some warm water and pat their bottom dry and apply diaper cream. Let it air dry for a bit before putting on a new diaper to prevent a rash. It’s best to go for fragrance-free diapers that don’t fit too snugly and aren’t too tight. Be Cautious of the Products You UseMany parents make the mistake of picking up any product from the store without paying much attention to the label. Many conventional products consist of harsh chemicals that aren’t always suitable for babies’ delicate skin.
Go for products that are specifically designed for babies; these include tear-free shampoos, fragrance-free bath gels and lotions with thicker consistencies. Whenever you apply new products to your baby’s skin, look out for allergic reactions. Avoid anti-bacterial and scented products that have harsh chemicals and aren’t suitable for babies. Nosh Body offers an exquisite line of baby skincare products for sale. All our skincare products are organic and vegan. Place your order today. It’s that time of the year again when you begin to notice slight roughness and flaking on parts of your skin. The dry winter air affects our skin in multiple ways, and although we class all cold weather-related skin issues as “dryness,” they don’t always fit in that category. When it comes to skin, we tend to use the terms “dryness” and “dehydration” interchangeably, yet they have different effects. Our skin is more prone to dehydration in the winter. The chilly temperatures cause a decline in sebum production and lead to the thickening of skin lipids, making it harder for it to retain moisture. The winter air also reduces the size of pores and limits circulation. What’s the Difference Between Dry and Dehydrated Skin?Dry skin is for life; it’s the result of the insufficient levels of lipids and oils in the skin due to fewer oil glands. The skin isn’t protected from external aggressors and is prone to flaking and itching. Dehydration is a temporary skin condition that can impact people with all skin types. It’s a result of intrinsic conditions like hormonal imbalance, unhealthy diets, regular intake of caffeine, and alcohol. Dehydrated skin is also caused by external issues like cold wind, sun, air-conditioning, central heating, and cold temperatures. Even some makeup and personal care products can lead to dehydration. Here are some tips to save your skin from dehydration: 1.Hydrating CleansersIf you’re the type of person who works up a thick lather when washing your face and body, you need to stop doing that in the winter. Stick to hydrating, creamy cleansers that are free from sulfates and parabens. Nosh Body’s vegan bath products consist of carefully chosen organic ingredients that seep through the outer skin’s barriers, nourish the skin from within and lock moisture. 2.SerumSerums are a critical component of skincare regimens. They’re water-based products that enhance absorption, so that products can penetrate the skin’s deeper layers. Layering serums and rich moisturizers that are packed with antioxidants and hydrating ingredients can maximize and extend hydration in the skin’s epidermis. Serums provide a delivery mechanism that allows active ingredients in skincare products to penetrate deep into the skin, leaving your skin soft and supple. Nosh Body offers facial serums for all skin types; our products lock moisture in the epidermis, giving you a dewy glow. 3.Hydrating Moisturizer The best moisturizers for the winter contain a nourishing combination of plant waxes and fatty acids that seal the skin after your regimen is complete.
Nosh Body offers a range of organic body balms that give your skin the moisture it needs to stay soft and plump throughout the winter. Our products are vegan and completely free of sulfates and parabens that eliminate the skin’s natural oils. If you’re looking for organic skincare products online, check out our selection. Our beauty routine must change with time as our skin goes through various changes with age. Women in their 30s start observing small changes in their skin, such as hardening of their features and the appearance of fine lines at the corner of their eyes and mouths. While most people feel like they’re at the prime of their lives in their 30s and don’t need any special care, your skin might feel differently. One of the most critical aspects of youthful and glowing skin is collagen production. The collagen helps keep the skin smooth and flexible and prevents it from becoming thin and weak. However, after the age of 20, our skin starts producing an estimated 1% less collagen each year. The body metabolism also starts slowing down in your 30s, which can lead to weight gain and various health issues that can also affect the skin. However, if you amp up your skincare routine and make sure you follow some simple steps each day, you can slow down the aging process and keep your skin looking youthful for years to come. Here are some essential skincare tips to stay gorgeous in your 30s: Stay Hydrated Keeping your body and skin hydrated is the first step to avoid getting wrinkles and other premature signs of aging. Drink at least eight glasses of water to promote the healthy functioning of all your vital organs. Moisturize your skin regularly with a lightweight natural moisturizer to prevent it from becoming dull, dry, and flaky. Don’t Skip Out Daily Cleansing As we age, our skin becomes more prone to infections and inflammation. Daily cleansing will help remove all the dirt and bacteria that accumulate on the skin and clogs the pores causing inflammation. Cleanse each morning and before going to bed to allow your skin to relax and rejuvenate. Exfoliate the Dead Skin Cells Away This triggers the skin to perform essential renewal functions by producing new skin cells, making the skin look smoother and brighter. Experts recommend exfoliating the skin twice a week at nighttime to enhance the skin’s functions. Eat the Right Foods The food you eat plays an important role in supplying your body with the essential vitamins and minerals it needs for optimal functioning. It can also be helpful to take some supplements to provide the body with adequate nutrition as the body’s ability to absorb nutrients from foods declines with age. You can also take collagen and Vitamin E supplements to boost skin health and improve elasticity. Avoid sugary and fatty foods to prevent inflammation of the skin. Shield Your Skin from The Sun Make sure you wear sunscreen every time you go out once you’ve reached your 30s. The sun’s UV rays exacerbate the aging process and can also cause the skin to dry out, making it look dull and lifeless. Don’t skip out the sunscreen, even if it’s raining or the sky is overcast, it’ll provide optimal protection to your skin all year round! Natural Skincare Products for Youthful and vibrant skin! Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons to experience and witness in California. The sun is still shining, it’s not too cold, and the autumn leaves turn into gorgeous hues of yellow and orange. It’s the perfect season to get some outdoor time before the cold winds of winter force you to get back in your home and sit around a warm fireplace. However, the weather changes that start in fall also lead to all sorts of skin issues, especially for people with sensitive skin. Dry and itchy skin is one of the common complaints as the low temperature and low humidity associated with the fall season cause the skin to dry out. Here are some simple skincare tips to help you get over the fall complexion slump: Use Nourishing Moisturizers Moisturizing is an essential step in your fall skincare routine. However, it’s important to ditch the heavy moisturizers that you used during the summer and opt for more lightweight alternatives. You’ll be using your moisturizer more often during the fall, so make sure it has beneficial ingredients with nourishing properties and essential vitamins and minerals to keep your skin healthy and glowing throughout the fall and winter months. Embrace Facial Serums These are often considered by many people as an extra product that they don’t really need. On the contrary, using facial serums in fall and winter can help keep your skin from drying out when you apply your makeup. When you put multiple products on your skin, they seep into your pores and clog them, making it difficult for your skin to breathe. This can lead to inflammation and dryness. Facial oils applied before your regular makeup can help tighten the pores and keep the natural facial oils intact by creating a thin layer over the skin. This helps the skin retain its natural moisture and prevents the pores from clogging when you apply your makeup. Don’t Forget the Sunscreen Just because summer is over doesn’t mean you can ditch the sunscreen. Fall sun can also be harsh on your skin, and the UV rays can exacerbate skin dryness leading to itchiness and inflammation. Use a lightweight moisturizer with SPF 30 or higher to protect your skin from the sun’s rays whenever you go outside during those mild fall afternoons. If you’ve ever taken the time to read the long list of ingredients on the back of your favorite skincare products, you might have noticed many fancy names that could be anything. Unfortunately, most synthetic and artificial ingredients are hidden behind scientific-sounding names by leading cosmetic brands to pull the wool over their customer’s eyes. One of the most common chemicals used in most skincare products is synthetic fragrance. According to statistics, over 50% of all skincare products have fragrances that can cause health concerns, especially for people with sensitive skin. Another survey indicates that more than 99% of U.S. residents are exposed to fragranced products at least once a week, either from their own use or used by others. |
