If you’ve ever taken the time to read the long list of ingredients on the back of your favorite skincare products, you might have noticed many fancy names that could be anything. Unfortunately, most synthetic and artificial ingredients are hidden behind scientific-sounding names by leading cosmetic brands to pull the wool over their customer’s eyes. One of the most common chemicals used in most skincare products is synthetic fragrance. According to statistics, over 50% of all skincare products have fragrances that can cause health concerns, especially for people with sensitive skin. Another survey indicates that more than 99% of U.S. residents are exposed to fragranced products at least once a week, either from their own use or used by others. |
